Netherlands

NETHERLANDS
Netherlands in its entirety is often reffered to as Holland.Netherlands was one of the frst parlimentary democracies. Netherlands is geographically low lying country. with about 20% of its area and 21%of  its population located below sea level.Netherlands has 20 national parks and hundreds of other nature reserves.Includes lakes,heathlands,woods,dunes and other habitats.




Volendam
Volendam is a popular tourist attraction in the Netherlands, well-known for its old fishing boats and the traditional clothing still worn some residents. There is a regular ferry conection to marken, A Penninsula.

Amsterdam (Europe)

Amsterdam
Amsterdam is known for being the wealthiest city in 17th century.Ships sailed from Amsterdam to the Baltic Sea,North America, and Africa as well as present day Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Brazil forming the basis of a world wide trading network. Canal cruise in Amsterdam are now the most popular tourist attraction in the country with over 3 million paasengers a year.







CANAL CRUISE
The first pleasure cruise in history of the Amsterdam canals took place in 1621 when Queen Elisabeth stuart of Bohemia was welcomed into the city  in a parade of festively decorate admiralty sloops with thousands of amsterdammers cheering on bridges and canal-sides.

Brussels ( Europe )


Centrally situated in Northern Europe, Brussels is the capital of Belgium and of the autonomous Brussels Region. Two major international organizations have their headquarters in Brussels : the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Brussels is well-known for its fine lace or Brussels lace for tapestry weaving or finest chocolate.

The famous Market Place  is 110 m long and 68 m wide. It is in the center of the old town; dominated by the Town Hall and sorrounded by the guild houses, the Market Place is a brilliant architectural site.

Grand Place

 Every two years in August, an enormous "flower carpet" is set up in the Grand Place for a few days. A million colourful begonias are set up in patterns, and the display covers a full 24 by 77 metres (79 by 253 ft), for area total of 1,800 square metres (19,000 sq ft).[2] The first flower carpet was made in 1971, and due to its popularity, the tradition continued, with the flower carpet attracting a large number of tourists.






Manneken pis
There are several legends behind this fountain. it is a small bronze fountain sculpture depicting a naked little boy urinating into the fountain basin. It was designated by Jerome Duquesnoy and was put in place during the year 1618 or 1619. tourists visit this fountain every year as it is close to Grand place.
